PROJECT INSPECTOR

Project Inspector - Overview (2 days - $400)
An overview of regulations and procedures as they relate to various aspects of code-prescribed inspection and inspectors' administrative responsibilities. DSA-Certified Project Inspectors must attend this class within their four-year certification period as one of the requirements for re-certification.

Project Inspector - In-Depth Plumbing (1 days - $250)
Learn the regulations and procedures as they relate to plumbing compliance in code-prescribed inspection.

Project Inspector - In-Depth Mechanical (1 days - $250)
Learn the regulations and procedures as they relate to mechanical compliance in code-prescribed inspection.

Project Inspector - In-Depth Fire & Life Safety (2 days - $500)
Learn the regulations and procedures relating to Fire & Life Safety for school projects.

Project Inspector - In-Depth Electrical (2 days - $500)
This course covers 24 topics critical to effective electrical inspection of schools.

STRUCTURAL

Plan Review - Structural (2007 CBC) (2 days - $500)
Learn DSA's plan review process for structural requirements to ensure compliance with California's building codes. This class references the 2007 California Building Code.

2007 CBC Amendments - Structural Safety (1 day - $250)
Highlights significant changes regarding Structural Safety included in the 2007 California Building Code (CBC).

ACCESSIBILITY

Plan Review - Access (2007 CBC) (2 days - $500)
Equips participants with the essential concepts, reference materials and job aides for conducting timely, consistent, and accurate plan reviews for accessibility compliance. The course orients participants to the 2007 California Building Code.

2007 CBC Amendments - Accessibility (5 hrs) (1 day - $250)
Highlights significant changes to Accessibility regulations included in the 2007 California Building Code (CBC) that apply to public buildings, public accommodations and commercial buildings. This class does not cover Chapter 11A (housing). For Chapter 11A training, contact the Department of Housing and Community Development.

FIRE & LIFE SAFETY

Plan Review - Fire & Life Safety Process & Procedures (2007 CBC & 2002 NFPA) (3 days - $750)
Learn DSA's plan review process for fire & life safety requirements to ensure compliance with California's building codes. This course is based on the 2007 California Building Code, Title 24, Part 2, Volume 1 and the 2002 NFPA 13 and 72.
